Brazil lies at lat. 5¡Æ16'20"N. to lat. 33¡Æ44'32"S. and at lon. 34¡Æ47'30"W. to lon. 73¡Æ59'32"W. Brazil, except the Atlantic shore, is bordered with twelve South American countries. It is 23,086km long and 8,511,965§´ wide, which is 43 times as big as the Korean peninsula and 87 times the size of South Korea. 92 percent of the land is between the equator and the tropic of Capricorn, so the mean air temperature for the most part is above 20¡ÆC. Regionally, Brazil has an equatorial, a tropical, a savanna and a subtropical climate. Brazil has four time zones, and there is a twelve-hour difference in time between Korea and Brazil because Brazilia, the capital city of Brazil, is located the opposite of Korea.
