International What is State Violence? Basic Concept
"Human rights violation by state violence and social movements"

¢º Idea of human rights is so comprehensive, controversial, and moving concept that we have to establish a firm definition on human rights before moving on to the project.

¢º The project will focus on the following subjects.

  • The area of concern is limited to resistance movements by victims of human rights violations from state violence. Number of case examples may vary according to regional backgrounds.
  • The project suggests two parallel ideas of human rights
¨ç Cases of basic rights violation from political reasons
¨è Human rights as social movement of minorities
  • Other human rights movements, though they may not be directly related to state violence, can be included in the project if they comprise typical regional aspects of state violence.
