International What is State Violence? Basic Concept
"Human rights violation by state violence and social movements"
▶ Idea of human rights is so comprehensive, controversial, and moving concept that we have to establish a firm definition on human rights before moving on to the project.
▶ The project will focus on the following subjects.
The area of concern is limited to resistance movements by victims of human rights violations from state violence. Number of case examples may vary according to regional backgrounds.
The project suggests two parallel ideas of human rights
① Cases of basic rights violation from political reasons
② Human rights as social movement of minorities
Other human rights movements, though they may not be directly related to state violence, can be included in the project if they comprise typical regional aspects of state violence.
